Pima 100% Cotton Broadcloth

Pima cotton broadcloth is the ideal cotton fabric: soft, robust and straightforward and replaces the Pimatex by Kaufmans(**). This plain weave material comes in a dainty light pink color similar to "Parfait", it combines the incomparable strength and soft hand of premium Pima cotton with the multiple uses of broadcloth. This handsome lightweight fabric is just right for cloth dolls.

Samples are available for $1

Great for doll skin and dyes well. I prefer this fabric for its smooth finish and tight weave. Less popping of the seams.
Available in Fat Q's and half Meter lengths only

If you order more than one half metre I will cut in one continuous length when possible.

**FYI**

Pimatex by Kaufmans will no longer be available. The Pima Broadcloth takes over from the pimatex and is comparable in colour, weight and smoothness of finish making it the ideal replacement fabric; in fact it is so close in texture that you wouldnt know it was a different fabric!

Detailed Review : Hi just wanted to say at first I was a bit worried I wouldnt like the new replacement but when it arrived I could hardly tell the difference between the two. Except for the colour which was only slightly different it has the same soft feel as the Pimatex did I am really Happy I tried it. Thanks again

What is a fat quarter. I just stumbled across your website, I am from Ireland so I never heard of fat Quarter. Can you let me know also how much fabric I would need to make a full 18" doll. Do I need different fabric for the body and fact. Thank you. Margaret

Hi Margaret a fat quarter measures approx 50cms x 55cms and for an 18inch doll I believe thats all you may need... but again it depends on the design you are making. Some patterns require you use the skin fabric for the whole do,,l some require you use patterned fabrics... but again there are NO rules for this. As the sewer it is up to you how you want to dress your doll. dont be afraid to experiment. regards di
